There’s No BPA in BABY!

Being a first time parent, there are a lot of things I didn’t know going in, but perhaps the biggest thing I didn’t even think about is how much stuff goes along with parenting. Babies need stuff. Babies need batteries. Babies need binkies. Babies need bottles. Lots and lots of bottles. Which brings me to the point and this little bit of encouraging news from the World Wide Web.

(I’m trying not to think about the fact that companies have been selling BPA bottles for as long as the have and just be grateful it’s almost over.)

From The Washington Post:

The six largest manufacturers of baby bottles will stop selling bottles in the United States made with bisphenol A, a controversial chemical widely used in plastics but increasingly linked to a range of health effects.

The manufacturers declared their intentions after Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, joined by the attorneys general in Connecticut and New Jersey, wrote to the bottle makers and asked them to voluntarily stop using the chemical.
